So Much Is At Stake, For All Of Us.

It has been a long time since I have posted. Unimaginable events have taken place, human caused and natural calamities, in abundance. A worldwide pandemic that spotlights the divide between the haves and have nots on a global scale. The world-wide effort of scientists and medical researchers, and most importantly the Pharma companies, to put out an extraordinary vaccine, gave hope and promise to be able to save lives.

Yet, here in the United States we have ignored the imperative to act as one nation and politicized and spread dis-information among our divided citizens to make our response to vaccination and prevention fall way short of the needed steps to get ahead of infections.

This willful disregard on the part of some of our leaders to do what is the right thing and act as one in a life and death struggle has cost too many lives and puts at risk millions of people and especially our children, our future.

What can we do? The following is my wistful thinking...

So. I am hoping that we can focus on some long term goals and expend the energy and effort to gain a consensus of like minded nations to work together to achieve these goals. Focus our collective efforts on food, water, and clean air. World-wide commitment to protect and clean the environmental necessities that support all life on Earth. Expand sustainable shelter and housing access for people. Affordable, energy efficient, safe, durable in the face of natural forces, shelter for humans. United effort on the part of the wealthy nations to bring about solutions to the needs of all life in the form of food, water, clean air, and shelter.

Focus on immediate ways and means that can make the imperatives achievable and not reasons why they shouldn't, and just  do it.

This enormous global undertaking would necessarily drive the necessity to educated and train the people to do the work, and focus a demand for well trained and motivated work force to design, test, and construct the infrastructure, develop transportation and distribution modalities to bring the products and projects to the world. Multinational consortiums sourcing and prioritizing the deliveries and sourcing the funding.

Is this going to bring about world peace? No, probably not. Will it bind the good guys closer? Probably. Will it define our mutual enemies? Yes. Will it create extreme tension and possible conflict? Yes.

My hope is the wisdom and foresight to see that the ever expanding population of humans world-wide is making food/water/clean air/shelter even more critical than it already has become.

Highest level leadership and vision requires that allied nations do something urgently to forestall a global crisis from which a potential nuclear war could result. The have nots need our collective help and it will lift us all to a better future for the planet. Food, water, air, shelter.
